The new Chrysler Aspen offered with a new electric and gas hybrid model and with more available power. The vehicle falls under the category of luxury trimmed model of Dodge’s Durango. The vehicle shared the new traditional V8 gasoline engine and the powertrain. The vehicle provided the seating capacity of up to 8 passengers. The model released in the model year 2009 offered only one trim level, the Limited trim level.
The standard feature in the new conventional model offered with the 303 horse power 4.7 liter V8 engine and provided 5.7 liter 376 horse power hemi V8 as the optional engine. The 5.7 liter engine has the multi displacement system from the Chrysler that shuts down the cylinders at the time of cruising to reduce the fuel usage. The model offered either the all wheel drive or the rear wheel drive.
The conventional models offered the five speed automatic transmission where as the hybrid models offered variable transmissions. The conventional vehicle has the maximum towing capacity of 8900 lb while 6000 lb for the hybrid vehicles.
