2009 New Developments
For the 2009 model, Aspen SUV was introduced with the addition of a new hybrid model into its lineup, which combined V6 fuel efficiency with the powerful 5.7 liter V8 Hemi engine.

Model Variants and Power-Train Specs
2009 Aspen was released in 2-main trim levels, including Limited and Limited HEV. The Limited edition was available in both 2WD and 4WD versions, while the Limited HEV model was available only with 4-wheel drive-train configuration.
Both models were equipped with a standard 4.7 liter V8 that was capable of producing 303 horsepower and torque of 330 lb-feet. Another more powerful optional 5.7 liter V8 Hemi engine was also incorporated to churn out an output power of 376 horsepower and torque of 401 pound-feet.

A 5-speed auto transmission was standard on both models, which was responsible for power-transmission.
EPA Fuel Economy Rating
The EPA estimated fuel mileage of the 2009 Aspen was around 14 mpg in cities, and 19 mpg on highways with 2WD, while these figures were13 mpg in the urban areas and 17 mpg on the highways with FWD. The Limited HEV edition had the potential to achieve 19 mpg in cities, and 20 mpg on highways.
