Not satisfied with the Dodge Durango – here comes another powerhouse performer from Chrysler!

2008 Chrysler Aspen = Revamped Durango?

Chrysler acquired most of the styling cues and features from Dodge Durango, a full size SUV for the year 2007, and made minor changes to unveil the 2008 Chrysler Aspen..

2008 Chrysler Aspen is essentially top order version of the Dodge Durango and also turns out to be a strong competitor against vehicles of its kind, such as the Ford Expedition and GMC Yukon.

For the year 2008, a very much powerful V8 engine placed under the Aspen’s hood and few additional selections in terms of features and packages mark the release of the 2008 Chrysler Aspen.

The platform on which the vehicle is not the only feature adopted from Dodge; even the ‘Aspen’ label, which was used as a substitute for Dart in 1976, is very much indicative of its resemblance.

Minimal Changes for 2008

Chrysler assumed that the Aspen, which is the first SUV of the brand, will successfully complete the five year run without any major changes. The 5.7 liter hemi V8 engine powered by four wheel drive system was made available in two different types. And, only few changes were made in the overall specs, while the physical dimension remained same as that of the 2007 Chrysler Aspen.

The interior of the 2008 Aspen pretty much look like imitation of Durango, but the dashboard of 2008 Chrysler Aspen was crafted with more wood kind of a trim, giving it a more luxurious feel.
